WEIKERT - Joseph Gresavage, 80, of Weikert for the past 15 years, formerly of Hamilton, New Jersey, entered into rest at 12:51 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2015, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, with his family by his side.
He was born March 22, 1935, in Shamokin, a son of the late Walter J. and Nellie E. (Weber) Gresavage. On January 21, 1956, in Shamokin, he married the former Mary Ann Shamanski, who survives.
Joseph was a 1953 graduate of Coal Township High School.
He served in the Army from 1957 until his medical discharge in 1958.
Joseph was a roofing and building contractor with his brothers at Gresavage Brothers Builders, Trenton, New Jersey, for 43 years.
He was a member of the Union County Sportsmen’s Club, Weikert.
Surviving in addition to his wife of nearly 60 years, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Debbie Gresavage of Millmont, and Matthew and Kimberly Gresavage of Hamilton, New Jersey; one daughter and son-in-law, Lya and Karl Ashley of Smethport; one brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Arlene Gresavage of Titusville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and James Gresavage; and two sisters, Eldena Tyner, and Jacqueline Fisher.
Funeral services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
