Josephine H. Haggy, 84, Mifflinburg
Josephine H. Haggy, 84, of 46 E. Walnut St., entered into rest Thursday afternoon, July 31, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born April 5, 1930, in Swengel, a daughter of the late Rollin and Helen (Grove) Emery. On April 7, 1950, in Hartleton, she married Dale M. Haggy, who preceded her in death September 26, 1982.
Josephine was an active member of the Christ's United Lutheran Church, Millmont.
She was a 1948 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
Josephine was employed as a Nurse's Aide in the emergency room at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
Surviving are one son, Alan D. Haggy of Millmont; one daughter, Suzanna M. Haggy of Selinsgrove; three grandchildren, Chris Boop and his wife Allyson of Norfolk, Virginia, Heather and her husband Brandon Haines of Mazeppa, and Brian Haggy of Millmont; six great grandchildren, Hakeem, Justice, Kaedyn, and AryAnna Haines, Madelyn Dempsey, and Owen Boop; four brothers and one sister-in-law, Warren, Richard, and Robert Emery all of Mifflinburg, and Neil and Myrtle Lou Emery of Houston, Texas; one sister, Fae Hanselman of Mifflinburg; one sister-in-law, Edna Mae Emery of Mifflinburg; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Kent Haggy; one brother, Forrest Emery; and one sister, Kathryn Weller.
Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Christ's United Lutheran Church, 13765 Old Turnpike Rd., Millmont, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Rev. John D. Yost, officiating.
Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
