Joyce A. Herb, 83, Millmont

Joyce A. Herb, 83, of 674 Thomas Dam Rd., since 1970, formerly of Shamokin, entered into rest at 11:15 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2011, at her home.

She was born September 12, 1928, in Shamokin, a daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Ruch) Rebuck. On December 22, 1947, in Maryland, she married Robert A. Herb. He preceded her in death October 20, 2005.

Joyce was a 1946 graduate of Shamokin High School.

She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, making crafts, and cooking for her family.

Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Merry Carol and James Scandle of Shamokin, Joyce Ann Bingaman of Millmont, and Susan and Kim Blyler of Millmont; one sister, Caroline Reed of Orlando, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
