Joyce Sauers

Joyce E. Sauers, 90, of Lewisburg, entered into rest at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, February 20, 2025, at home.

She was born June 9, 1934, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late J. Wendell “Poly” and Jean (McCreary) Rohland. On March 17, 1954, she married Marlin R. Sauers, who preceded her in death September 30, 2020. Together they celebrated 66 years of marriage and had five children.

Joyce was a 1953 graduate of Northumberland High School.

She worked with her husband at Pioneer Seed, Lewisburg.

Joyce enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, spending time with her cats, and vacationing in Williamsburg, Virginia, and Gettysburg.

Surviving are four sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard and Sue Sauers of Peyton, Colorado, Wade Sauers of Selinsgrove, Timothy Sauers of Madison, Wisconsin, and Thomas Sauers of Mifflinburg; one daughter, Wendy Sauers of Lewisburg; and three grandchildren, Oliver Sauers, Ryan Sauers, and Victoria Hollern.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
