Joyce A. Yonai

Joyce A. Yonai, 81, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 2:37 a.m., Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Wellspan Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born October 31, 1943, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late George and Violet (Perkins) Tompkins. On October 3, 1978, she married John Paul Yonai, Sr., who preceded her in death October 24, 2011.

Joyce was a 1961 graduate of Milton High School.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Michael Mostoller, and Kimberly and Edward Betta, all of Somerset; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Keith Metzger of Mifflinburg, John Paul, Jr. and Judi Yonai of North Carolina, and Vincent Yonai of Mifflinburg; 4 grandchildren, Madelyn Metzger, Kristopher and Michele Mostoller and Lynn Stoltzfus; 2 great grandchildren, John Page and Carter Stoltzfus; one sister, Mary Tompkins Palesky of Sunbury; and nieces and nephews, Steph and her husband Don Naugle, Richard Bingaman, Ang and her husband John Michael, Lori Houston, Jody and her husband Jim Kodak, Tosha Adams, Don Cimmino, Jr.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Derr; two sisters, Shirley Bingaman and Georgia Cimmino; and one niece, Melody Valentine.

A graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery, Garrett, at a later date.
