Julia I. Libby

Julia I. Libby, 84, formerly of Second St., Millmont, for 43 years, entered into rest at 5:45 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Riverwoods, Lewisburg.

She was born January 16, 1940, in Kissimmee, Snyder County, a daughter of the late Franklin and Carrie (Walter) Moyer. On December 5, 1959, in Penns Creek, she married Jacque C. Libby, who preceded her in death December 14, 2011.

Julia attended Middleburg High School.

She was employed at the Laurelton Center, Huntington Throwing Mills, Mifflinburg, and Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Julia attended the Church of Christ in Christian Union, Lewisburg.

She enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Timothy Osborne of Mifflinburg, and Lori and William Valentine of Lewisburg; four grandchildren, Ryan Osborne of Mifflinburg, Ashlee Abrougui of Lewisburg, Meghan and her husband Kevin Gordon of Bloomsburg, and Jaysn Valentine and Melissa Forsman of Phoenix, Arizona; four great grandchildren, Sawyer Case, Adam Abrougui, Kellen Abrougui, and Nolan Gordon; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Libby of Millmont, and Ruby Templin of Milton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Elder Hartman, and Junior Moyer; and three sisters, Marcella Heintzelman, Phyllis Leitzel, and Winifred Houtz.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Harry Harter, officiating.

Burial will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.
