June Hoffman

June Irene Hoffman, 87, of, 803 Borough Line Rd., Mifflinburg, formerly of Mill St., for 57 years, entered into rest at 4:38 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born February 14, 1930, in Union County a daughter of the late Herbert and Alda (Badger) Wirth. On May 5, 1946, at the Mifflinburg United Methodist Church, she married Glenn K. Hoffman, who preceded her in death January 8, 2011.

June was employed at Sterling Mills, Mifflinburg, Huntington Throwing Mills, Mifflinburg, and JPM Company, Lewisburg.

She enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, vacations with friends, and family gatherings.  In their younger years, June and her husband both assisted the Mifflinburg Hose Company at the Firemen’s Carnivals.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Joyce E. Hoffman of Mifflinburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah L. and Dale S. Reichard of Mifflinburg; 4 grandchildren, Michael S. and his wife Christeann Reichard of Lewisburg, Amy L. and Jesse Gagnon of Milton, Robert K. Hoffman of Chesterland, OH, and Stefanie J. and her husband Bruce English of Howard; 3 great grandchildren, Noelle Reichard, Hope Reichard, and Matthew English; 2 step-great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Jared Gagnon; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Dolores and Robert Mayer of Millmont, Nancy Mielke of Mifflinburg, and Kathleen and Charles Pursell of Penns Creek; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Gordon, Herbert, Lionel, and Gary Wirth; and three sisters, Edna Swalwell, Helen Vayda, and Marion Sauers.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of June will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, at the Dreisbach United Church of Christ, 875 Dreisbach Church Rd., Lewisburg, with Rev. Nathan Druckenmiller, officiating.
