Kathryn M. Shively

Kathryn Mae Shively, 89, of Millmont, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born April 11, 1934, in Millmont, a daughter of the late Wilbur Ruhl and Mary (Feaster) Ruhl Adams. On March 20, 1953, in Millmont, she married Donald L. Shively, who preceded her in death July 21, 2020.

Kathryn was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School and employed at Laurelton Center from 1975 until her retirement in 1995. From 1953 to 1954, she was employed at Westinghouse Electric Company, Sunbury.

She enjoyed summertime when she could mow her lawn and care for her flowers, special get-togethers with family and morning commutes with Don to McDonalds to converse with friends.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Donald G. Shively and Renda (Sechman) Shively of Millmont, and James Greene Christian Shively and companion Heidi Luke of Sunbury; two grandsons, Michael J. Shively of Millmont and Nicholas G. and his wife Lindsay (Thomas) Shively of Lewisburg; 3 great-grandchildren, Connor and Tyler Shively, and Jenna Shively; and a great-great granddaughter, Bailey Mae Derr; one sister Betty Stamm of Millmont; and many nieces and nephews.

The Shively family would like to thank Almond Tree Senior Solutions and their caregivers, Lesa, Tammy, Lisa, Stacey, Christy, Jen, Linda, and Eva for their compassion and care.

There will be a private graveside service at the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
