Kathy S. Houdeshell

Kathy “Kate” S. Houdeshell, 70, of Millmont, entered into rest at 2:37 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at home.

She was born February 24, 1955, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late John C. and Aladean M. (Plotts) Aikey. On October 13, 2001, at Camp Laurel, Mifflinburg, she married Paul N. Houdeshell, who survives.

Kate was a 1973 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School.

She was employed as an aide at Laurelton Center and Riverwoods, Lewisburg, and she operated a home day care in Mifflinburg.

Kate enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, gardening, flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 23 years, are one daughter, Jessica Aikey of Milton; two grandchildren, Shaylyn Kuliwoski and her husband Shane, and Sophia Reyes; two great grandchildren, Lilah Anna Marie Kuliwoski and Declan Robert Kuliwoski; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Patsy Aikey and Harry “Zeke” Harris of Virginia, Lana Aikey of Mifflinburg, and Lisa and Daniel Culp of Mifflinburg; and one nephew, Dillon and Ally Culp of Pittsburgh.

She was preceded in death by one sister in infancy, Cindy Lou Aikey.

Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from noon to 1 p.m., Friday, March 7, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the memorial will be conducted at 1, with Pastor Marc Snyder, officiating.
