Larue F. King, 61, of Lewisburg, entered into rest at 2:48 a.m., Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Emmanuel Center, Danville.
He was born July 24, 1962 in Lewisburg, a son of the late James and Ruth (Berger) King.
He was a 1980 graduate of Lewisburg high school.
Earlier in life, Larue was employed at Yorktowne Cabinetry, Mifflinburg and Conagra, Milton. More recently, he was self-employed.
He enjoyed working on computers, traveling, going to casinos, and playing video games. He loved watching the NFL and was a big Patriot’s fan.
Surviving are eight siblings and their spouses, Patsy and Wayne Swartz of Lewisburg, Larry and Faith King of New Columbia, David and Alice King of Sunbury, Jayne Croll and Orvis Cromley of New Columbia, Wayne and Reese King of Mifflinburg, James and Cathy King of Milton, Randy and Nancy King of Sunbury, Barry and Kathy King of Lewisburg; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy King; and two nephews, Nicholas King and Jeremy Miller.
Family and friends are welcome from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Friday, March 22, at Dreisbach United Church of Christ, 875 Dreisbach Church Road, Lewisburg, where the memorial service will be conducted at 11, with Rev. John Yost, officiating.
Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
