Leroy C. Wenrick, Sr.

Leroy C. Wenrick, Sr., 81, of Laurelton, entered into rest at 8:47 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2024, at home. 

He was born March 21, 1943 in Millmont, a son of the late Leon and Myrtle (Deobler) Wenrick. On September 28, 1963, in Laurelton, he married the former Gloria Jean Chappell, who preceded him in death August 25, 2010.

Leroy attended Mifflinburg High School. 

He was a member of the West End Bible Fellowship.

Leroy was employed at Laurelton Center and Selinsgrove Center, for 25 years, and owned and operated Wenrick’s Carpet Sales and Installation.

He was a member of the West End Fire Company, a life member of the NRA, and was an avid hunter.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Leroy “Chris” C., Jr. and Margaret Anne Wenrick of Middleburg, Corey and Donna Wenrick of Lewisburg, and Elon and Terri Wenrick of Beauford, South Carolina; four daughters and sons-in-law, Trina and Terry Shambach of Middleburg, Jeri and Brad Moll of Mifflinburg, Patti and Jeffrey Carson of Pflugerville, Texas, and Grace and Ty Jackson of Longview, Texas; one brother, William Wenrick of Millmont; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Shirley Terrell of Mifflinburg, Carolyn Stamm of Millmont, Barbara and Howard Aikey of Mifflinburg; 23 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren with 3 arriving this year; and one great-great grandson.

He was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters; and 3 grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 9, and 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, May 10, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Richard DeVett, officiating. 

Burial will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.
