MILLMONT - Lillian Kathryn Kahley, 73, of 18600 Old Turnpike Road and a lifetime resident of Hartley Township, entered into rest at 8:40 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born Feb. 6, 1936, in Hartley Township, the daughter of the late Charles A. and Lyla Mae (Johnson) Pursley. On Jan. 31, 1953, she married Carl E. Kahley, who preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 1994.
Lillian attended Hartley Township schools.
She enjoyed completing puzzles, reading, watching golf and watching her sons compete in drag racing. Lillian also enjoyed wildlife, including hummingbirds, and hunting and fishing in Union County.
Surviving are five sons and daughters-in-law, Charles E. and Crystal D. Kahley, of Millmont, Carl L. and Cynthia Kahley, of Port Trevorton, A. Scott and Belinda Kahley, of Millmont, William R. and Brenda Kahley, of Mifflinburg, and Andrew L. and Cathy Kahley, of Hartleton; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa L. and Tony Bishop, of Beaver Springs; one sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Howard Fertig, of Lewisburg; 14 grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica, Rochelle, Rochette, Aleah, Aaron, Tanelle, Derek, Amanda, Tracey, Kim, Brianna, Mikey and Faith; and 12 great-grandchildren, Lane, Trent, Savannah, Chloe, Colton, Riley, John Jr., Kali, Arianna, L.J., Katie and Braden.
She was preceded in death by one brother, James Pursley, and one grandson, Andy Jr.
There will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hironimus Union Church, Weikert, with Pastor Richard DeVett officiating.
Interment will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
