SELINSGROVE – Lillie Mae Hornberger, 69, of 277 Fair Oak Rd., for the past 20 years, entered God’s eternal care at 2:45 a.m., Friday, September 30, 2016, at her home, following a 30 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
She was born October 13, 1946, in Berwick, a daughter of the late Clifford and Edna (Tinley) Gibbons. On February 27, 1965, in Philadelphia, she married Larry Hornberger, who survives.
Lillie was a 1964 graduate of Milton High School.
She enjoyed reading her Bible, animals, and crocheting. Lillie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She helped raise her nephew and niece, Jim and Peggy, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 51 years, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry J. and Rhonda E. Hornberger of Mazeppa, and William A. and Claire E. Hornberger of Hanover; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Sue Gibbons of Milton; one sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Gene Clayton of New Columbia; two grandchildren, Noah and Julia; and one special cousin, P.J. of Quakertown.
Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where a prayer service will be conducted at 7:45, with Pastor Carl Varner, officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Mt. Deliverance Cemetery, 2907 Pleasant View Rd., New Columbia, with Pastor Carl Varner, officiating.
