Lois E. Weaver, 57, Middleburg

Lois E. Weaver, of 536 Walnut Acres Rd., went home to be with Jesus on September 16, 2013 after a 5 year courageous battle with brain cancer. Her parting was peaceful, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born February 29, 1956, in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Paul and Miriam (Groff) Longenecker. On October 11, 1975, she married Ernest L. Weaver, who survives. He lovingly and faithfully cared for her truly in sickness and in health.

Lois was a member of Millmont Mennonite Church where she was involved in sewing circle and Sunday School. She dearly loved her grandchildren spending quality time taking walks, reading books and planning tea parties. Her hobbies included singing, collecting turtles and caring for her many beautiful flowerbeds.

Surviving in addition to her husband of nearly 38 years, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Jean Weaver of Middleburg, and Lyle and Chrissy Weaver of Watsontown; three daughters and sons-in-law, Heidi and Wes Schrock of Lebanon, New Hampshire, Amy and Byran Smucker of Hamilton, Ohio, and Bethany and Jesse Martin of Milton; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Alvin and Ada Longenecker of Lewisburg, Roy and Arleta Longenecker of Mifflinburg, and Ernest and Doris Longenecker of Rock Stream, New York; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Rhoda and Fred Stoltzfus of Lewisburg, Elsie and Jacob Shenk of Hanover, Miriam and Paul "Pete" Stoltzfus of Lewisburg, and Esther and Jay Burkholder of Washingtonville; and 12 grandchildren.

The viewing will be held Friday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Millmont Mennonite Church, 1310 Millmont Rd. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, at 10 AM with veiwing one hour prior. Officiating are Nate Reiff, Jay Burkholder and David Swartzentruber.

Burial will be at the Millmont Mennonite Cemetery with Roy Longenecker serving.
