Malinda S. Yoder, 88, Lewisburg

Malinda S. Yoder, 88, of 1146 Hill School Rd., went home to be with her Lord at 2:15 a.m., Monday, April 15, 2013, at the home of her daugher, Mollie, at 4518 Col. John Kelly Rd., Lewisburg, where she had resided for the past month.

She was born January 17, 1925, in Leola, a daughter of the late Benjamin L. and Lydia Stoltzfus. On December 9, 1943, she married Alvin F. Yoder, Sr., who preceded her in death January 20, 2009.

Malinda was a member of the Shady Grove Mennonite Church, Mifflinburg, where she was active in the sewing circle.

Surviving are six sons and daughters-in-law, Isaac and Lavina Yoder of Burksville, Kentucky, Ben and Leah Yoder of Munnsville, New York, Israel and Elizabeth Yoder of Lewisburg, Sam and Lena Yoder of Mifflintown, Alvin, Jr. and Anna Yoder of Trinidad, Colorado, and Noah and Carol Yoder of Decatur, Iowa; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lydia and Amos Zook of Lewisburg, Hannah and Amos Stoltzfus of Goshen, Virginia, Linda and John Stoltzfus of Lewisburg, and Mollie and Melvin Stoltzfus of Lewisburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Moses and Elizabeth Stoltzfus of Hagerstown, Indiana; 66 grandchildren; and 128 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Sammie, Steven, Bennie, and Levi; four sisters, Mary, Hannah, Susie, and Lydia; four grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the Shady Grove Mennonte Church, 5327 Buffalo Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, with ministers John Beiler and Simon Bender, officiating.

Burial will be in the Shady Grove Church Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
