Mary Ann DePietro

Mary Ann DePietro, 86, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 10:50 a.m., Sunday, October 29, 2023, at her home.

She was born March 26, 1937, in Devon, a daughter of the late Lewis and Elizabeth (Nicolini) Amarant.  On June 14, 1959, she married Gabriel "Gabe" B. DePietro, Jr., who preceded her in death October 11, 2009.

Mary was a graduate of Conestoga High School.

She was a member of the St. George Catholic Church, Mifflinburg.

Mary was a member of the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chapter Penn State Club, and the Red Hatters. 

She regularly attended the Silver Sneakers class at the Mifflinburg YMCA.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Perry J. and Lauren DePietro of Charlotte, NC, and Philip M. and Diane L. DePietro of Irwin; seven grandchildren, Jake DePietro, Allison DePietro, Ariel Hanson, Dana DePietro, Max DePietro, Emma Bowley, and Sam Bowley; one great granddaughter, Isabella Paye; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Ginnie Amarant of suburban Philadelphia; and one sister, Terri Winters of suburban Philadelphia.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Amarant and Robert Amarant.

Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 4 to 5 p.m., Thursday, November 2, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where a memorial service will be conducted at 5.
