Mary Doebler

MIFFLINBURG –Mary S. Doebler, 88, of 1665 Greenridge Rd., since 1959, entered into rest at 8:05 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2015, at her home.
She was born December 6, 1926, in Hartley Township, a daughter of the late LeRoy S. and Susie (Dauberman) Shirk. On July 27, 1945, in Urbana, Illinois, she married Donald C. Doebler, who preceded her in death May 20, 1984.
Mary was a graduate of Hartley Township High School.
She was employed as an aide at Laurelton Center, for over 25 years.
Mary was an active member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ, Mifflinburg.
She was a member of the Laurelton Women’s Club.
Mary enjoyed traveling with her family.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert; and three sisters, Caroline Johnson, Hazel Coup, and Barbara Hare.
Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, at the St. John’s United Church of Christ, 417 Market St., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Ted Justice, officiating.
Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
