Mary L. Groff

Mary Louise Groff, 69, of Lewisburg, entered into eternal rest, in the arms of her husband and surrounded by her family, at 6:55 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2024, at her home.

She was born December 10, 1954, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Norman and Sadie (Smoker) Yoder.  On June 18, 1977, in Millmont, she married David N. Groff, who survives.

Mary was a graduate of Penn View Christian Academy, Penns Creek.

She was an active member of the Buffalo Community Church, Lewisburg.

Mary dedicated her life to raising her children and caring for her family and later in life cared for others in private home healthcare.

She enjoyed scrapbooking with her friends, motorcycle riding with her husband, and playing with her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 46 years, are four sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Crystal Groff of New Columbia, Alan and Karolyn Groff of Williamsport, Chad and Kristy Groff of Lewisburg, and Dwayne and Sarah Groff of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Jairus Martin of Philadelphia; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, N. Daryl and Sarah Yoder of Mattawana, Veryl Yoder of Lancaster, and Wayne and Lillian Yoder of Winfield; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Randy Tice of Lewisburg, and Joy and James Weaver of Lewisburg; and 15 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Glen Elden Yoder in infancy.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 14, and 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, March 15, at the Buffalo Community Church, 4445 Hoffa Mill Road, Lewisburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Eddy Hostettler officiating.
 Burial will be in the Buffalo Community Church Cemetery.
