Mary Jane Hansen, 54, of 219 Hummingbird Lane, Lewisburg, entered into rest at 8:00 a.m., Friday, April 28, 2017, at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia.
A daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Reitenbach) Byers, she was born September 24, 1962, in Lewisburg. Her childhood was filled with love and memories with her sisters. On September 18, 1982, she married the love of her life, Orey M. Hansen.
Mary Jane was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School, Class of 1980. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and attended Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton. Mary Jane cherished time spent with her family, whether traveling, relaxing or just celebrating life. She let her light shine through her smile and sweet nature, and was loved by many.
One of her greatest joys in life was raising her daughters with her husband. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Logan McNear of Kansas City, MO and Shelby and Kory Swartzlander of Lewisburg; sisters, Martha, Faith, Hope and Charity and their loving families.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, with Rev. Erik Ireland, officiating.
Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
Family suggests contributions in Mary Jane’s name be made to the AstraZeneca Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society, 110 W. Laurel Ave., Cheltenham, PA 19012.
