Milford Hoover

Milford K. Hoover, 76, Mifflinburg

Milford Kling Hoover, 76, of 126 Boop Rd., for the past 40 years, entered into rest at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2012, at his home.

He was born August 6, 1936, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Charles A. and Mary Joyce (Hopp) Hoover. On July 16, 1983, in McClure, he married the former Bonnie L. Straub, who survives.

Milford was a 1956 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

He was employed as a welder at New Columbia Joist for 35 years, until he retired in 1995.

Milford enjoyed hunting, fishing, walking his dog, and working on projects at his home.

In addition to his wife of 29 years, are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Charles K. and Jessica M. Hoover of Mifflinburg, and Milford A. Hoover of Sunbury; 5 grandchildren, Austin, Ava, Courtley, Mary-Joyce, and Dante; and two foster sisters, Lydia Fitzgerald of Sunbury, and Mary Hummel of Mt. Pleasant Mills.

There will be no public viewing. A memorial service to celebrate Milford's life, will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, with Rev. Wayne S. Krell, officiating.
