Minerva L. Hileman, 97, Mifflinburg
Minerva Lindsay Hileman, 97, a resident of Mifflinburg for 60 years, went home to be with her Lord at 12:31 p.m., Sunday, July 10, 2011, at Riverwoods, Lewisburg, where she had been a resident since 2008.
She was born March 21, 1914, in Huntingdon, a daughter of the late William James and Laura Mae (Reed) Lindsay. On February 12, 1943, in the Baptist parsonage, Huntingdon County, she married Eugene Harold Hileman. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Minerva attended the Huntingdon High School.
She was employed at the Huntingdon Throwing Mills, Huntingdon, for 5 years, and then in Mifflinburg for 30 years, until she retired in 1973.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Doris Williams, of Mifflinburg; one niece, Deborah Erb, of Mifflinburg; three nephews, Daniel Chilcote of Chico, California, David Chilcote of Berwick, and Christopher Cote of Lancaster; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Rev. Alice Rauch, officiating.
Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
