Minnie E. Schreck, 76, Millmont

Minnie Ellen Schreck, 76, of 1260 Pleasant Grove Rd., for the past 40 years, entered into rest at 12:35 p.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at Rolling Hills Manor, where she had been a resident since May.

She was born May 15, 1934, in Weikert, a daughter of the late William and Ruth (Hironimus) Pursley. On August 12, 1954, in Middleburg, she married Wilbur L. Schreck. He preceded her in death April 3, 2004.

Minnie was a 1951 graduate of Lewisburg High School.

She was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Mifflinburg, for over 45 years.

Minnie was employed at the S.U.M. Child Development, Mifflinburg, for 15 years.

She was a member of the Union County Sunday School Association, and earlier in life, the Vicksburg Flower Club. Minnie enjoyed cooking, and preparing Sunday lunches for her family.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Wayne L. Schreck of Millmont, and Shawn W. and Tammy M. Schreck of Weikert; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherri L. and Tim L. Maxfield of Mifflinburg; 8 grandchildren, Eric W. Schreck of Watsontown, Kristy L. Schreck of Montandon, Amber Jo Schreck of Dewart, Shawn M. Schreck, Travis I. Schreck, Autumn M. Schreck all of Weikert, Rosa L. Maxfield, and Precious M. Maxfield both of Mifflinburg; 2 great grandchildren, Zachary T. and Allison R. Schreck, both of Mifflinburg; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Molly and Robert Haas of Riverside, and Helen and Eugene Kinney of Millville.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, William R. Schreck and Wilbur L. Schreck, Jr.; two brothers, Harry Pursley and Elwood Pursley; and one sister, Dorothy Neidig.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Friday, at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Pleasant Grove Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Rev. Daniel H. Hicks, officiating.

Burial will be in the Mazeppa Union Cemetery.
