Nettie Schlegel

Nettie F. Schlegel, 76, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 1:11 p.m., Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born June 12, 1943 in Shamokin, a daughter of the late John and Florence McKinney.

Nettie was employed in a sewing factory, drove a log truck, and retired from Selinsgrove and Laurelton State School, where she worked in the dietary department.

Surviving are one daughter, Georgia Schlegel; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chip and Jodi Schlegel, and Montana and Janice Schlegel; her best grandson, Chase, who always made her day; and her favorite niece, MaryAnn Hayes.

A celebration of life for Nettie Schlegel will be held at the Carriage Corner Restaurant, 257 E. Chestnut St., Mifflinburg, Saturday, February 22nd at 4:00 p.m. Memorial and stories to be shared at 4:30 p.m., with light refreshments following. Chip, Georgia, and Montana welcome friends and family to attend.

Burial at Lincoln Chapel Cemetery will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
