Paul Beech, Jr.

Paul J. Beech, Jr., 86, of 12 Meadow Lane, Lewisburg, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, January 9, 2021, at his home.

He was born February 22, 1934, in Norristown, a son of the late Paul J., Sr. and Elizabeth Emma (Woodside) Beech.  On October 29, 1955, in Norristown, he married the former Barbara Ann Watters, who survives.

Paul was a 1953 graduate of Upper Marion High School.

He served in the Army from October 14, 1953 until his honorable discharge November 7, 1961.

Paul was employed as a telephone and computer technician for Bell Telephone and AT&T for 40 years.

He was a member of the Hillside Bible Church, Mifflinburg.

Paul was active in the Child Evangelism Fellowship, Northumberland County, for 40 years, and served as Chairman of the Board.  He traveled overseas on many Word of Life mission trips to install phone and computer systems.

He worked on a farm in Lancaster as a teenager and enjoyed sheep farming and working in the fields.  Paul enjoyed reading, camping, hunting, walks in the woods, and wildlife.  He spent many summers at the Good News Camp and the Word of Life Camp.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 65 years, are one son and daughter-in-law, Paul J., III and Mary Ann Beech of Richfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debrah L. and Albert Siegle of Limerick, and Donna L. and Jeffrey Moore of Winfield; one brother Jack Beech and Daniel Wari of Tuscon, Arizona; 9 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Siegle.

Funeral services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park.
