Peggy Shetterly

Peggy Ann Shetterly, 92, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 11:18 p.m., Monday, January 20, 2025, at home.

She was born April 19, 1932 in Milton, a daughter of the late Harold and Ethel (Sassaman) Ale. On October 19, 1983, she married Robert Shetterly, who preceded her in death April 10, 2010.

Peggy attended Middleburg School District.

She was employed as a custodian at Laurelton Center, until she retired in the late 1980's.

Peggy enjoyed attending the Senior Center in Penns Creek, crafts, crocheting, and quilting.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Ron Hough of Rebersburg; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Wayne and Sandy Richard of Mifflinburg, Roger Richard of Middleburg, and Jerry Richard of Benton; four step-children and their spouses, Rodney Shetterly of Mifflinburg, Karen and Jon Reigle of Mifflinburg, Terri and Tom Duke of Mifflinburg, and Carol and Jeff Styers of Land O Lakes, Florida; 13 grandchildren and spouses, Mark Hough, Ronnie Hough, Eric and Jenni Hassenplug, Chastidy Shuck, Jamie and Ryan Stahl, Rogena Richard, Justin Richard, Adam Simmonds, Michael Andrew Shetterly II, Benjamin, Weston and Joshua Duke, and Kelsey Trutt; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Hassenplug; two granddaughters, Suzanne Hummel, and Megan Trutt; and one step-son, Michael Shetterly.

Services will be private.
