Richard Fry

September 27, 1929 — April 12, 2015

MIFFLINBURG – Richard W. Fry, formerly of 513 Old Orchard Lane, entered into rest at 7:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.

He was born September 27, 1929, in Muncy, a son of the late Wilson and Hazel (Watson) Fry.  In 1958, he married the former Mary Alice Shadle, who preceded him in death in 1985.

Richard was a graduate of Williamsport High School.

He served in the Army from June 7, 1954 until his honorable discharge May 25, 1956.

Richard was employed as a Fish Warden and Waterways Patrolman for the State of Pennsylvania for over 30 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gunsmithing and woodworking.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard J. and Glenda M. Fry, and Stephen L. and Linda Fry, all of Mifflinburg; one daughter, Alison M. Fry of Meriden, Connecticut; two grandchildren, Jarred Fry of Lancaster, and Ava L. Fry of Mifflinburg; and one brother, James N. Fry of Cogan Station.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ellen Knauss.

Funeral services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
