MIFFLINBURG – Robert Paul Gearhart, 70, of 199 Maple St., entered into rest at 9:39 a.m., Monday, February 2, 2015, at Williamsport Hospital.
He was born February 26, 1944, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Marshall and Enetha (Conley) Gearhart. On September 21, 1963, in Mifflinburg, he married Darlene M. Scholl, who preceded him in death January 20, 2015.
Robert was a 1961 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
He was employed at American Home Foods, Milton, for 40 years.
Robert enjoyed playing bingo, hunting, fishing, going to the produce auction, and socializing with his friends. He enjoyed growing his own produce and selling it at his home and at Hidden Valley Camp Ground.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Royal R. and Carolyn Gearhart of Hanover; two daughters, Laura A. Wolfley and her companion William L. Bender of Beaver Springs, and Lois M. Gearhart of Middleburg; 5 grandchildren, Shonna, Bridget, and Brett Wolfley, and Wyatt and Jackson Gearhart; one half-sister, Julia Moyer of Lewisburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Donald Gearhart; one sister, Betty Gearhart; and one half-brother, Jack Moyer.
Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, and 10:30 to 11 a.m., Friday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, with Pastor Richard L. DeVett, officiating.
Burial will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.
