Robert B. Husler, Sr., 83, Millmont
Robert Bruce Husler, Sr., 83, of 439 Thomas Dam Rd., formerly of Lewisberry, entered into rest at 9:06 a.m., Monday, May 27, 2013, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born August 9, 1929, in Lees Cross Roads, a son of the late Harry P. and Mary E. (Heberling) Husler. On February 17, 1951, in Bigler, he married the former Beverly R. Williams, who preceded him in death December 22, 2010.
Robert served in the Army from 1950 until his honorable discharge in 1952.
He was employed as a correction officer at the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill for 30 years.
Robert was a life member of the Etters Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 537.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert B., Jr. and Cheryl Husler of Dover, Richard K. and Cindy Husler of Lewisberry, and Mark R. and Deb Husler of Etters; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary E. and Steven Picarelli of Millmont; one step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Charles A. and Marcia Wilson of Hanover; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth H. and Patricia Husler of Lancaster; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Richie Husler.
Funeral services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
