Robert Lloyd Klinger, 69, of 346 Walnut St. Mifflinburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 4, 2019, after a 2 ½ year courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on November 17, 1949 in Montgomery, the son of the late Jack and Sara (Cameron) Klinger.

Robert graduated from Montgomery High School Class of 1967.

He enlisted and served in the Army Reserves for 13 years up until he received an honorable discharge.

Robert held many jobs, but spent the majority of his working years employed by Pennsylvania House.  He completely retired in 2016.

Following retirement, Robert was able to enjoy spending more time with his family, going out to eat, attending 50’s and 60’s dances with his wife, and sitting on the front porch having fellowship with his neighbors.  He was known to wave to all that passed by.  He was an avid Penn State and Eagles football fan.

Robert attended Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton for over 25 years.  He served with the Kids Worship Ministry and the Awana Kids.  At church, he was a member of the Best Years Adult Group and was a pupil of the Adult Bible Fellowship Class.

In addition to his wife of 21 years, he is survived by three children; Bryce Klinger of Milton, Seth (Jean) Mattern of Selinsgrove, and Beth Mattern of Mifflinburg; one brother, Dave Klinger of Montgomery; one brother-in-law, Mark (Mary) Bingaman of Millmont; seven grandchildren, Alex and Gage Newton, Zachary Klinger, Kai Elsesser, Cayden Mattern, and Piper and Mia Bartholomew; one great grandchild, Paxton Newton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Anna Klinger and one daughter-in-law, Angie Klinger.

Funeral arrangements are being entrusted to the Roupp Funeral Home Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
