Roberta “Bobbie” Lee Reidell Hollenbach, 86, formerly of New Berlin, passed away peacefully at 12:19 a.m., Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Rolling Hills Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Millmont.
She was born January 29, 1937, in Mifflinburg, a daughter of the late Charles E. “Chappy” and Mabel E. (Shaffer) Reidell. On September 15, 1961, she married Glenn E. Hollenbach, who preceded her in death May 31, 2012.
Bobbie was a 1955 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School, where she received a music award, played trumpet, was the band’s leading majorette, and was named most athletic of her class.
She was a member of the Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Berlin.
Bobbie was employed at the Silvermoon Drive-in, Laurelton State Hospital, and the Selinsgrove State Hospital, from where she retired after 25 years of employment.
She loved watching all her children play sports at Mifflinburg High School, and both sons playing Legion baseball, and traveling with her sons Chart and Mark in their younger years participating in the punt, pass, and kick competitions, and Chart playing minor league baseball for the Cincinnati Reds club and playing football at West Chester University, and watching Mark play basketball at Susquehanna University. Bobbie loved spending time with her grandchildren, and going out to eat at local restaurants with her husband and talking with friends.
Surviving are two sons, Chart H. Hollenbach of Nevada, and Mark J. Hollenbach of Harrisburg; two daughters and one son-in-law, Glenda “Gigi” Hollenbach of Florida, and Michele L. and Brad Manning of Milton; six grandchildren, Kahla Manning of Marion Heights, Drew Manning of Milton, Norah, Holly, Alice, Mary, and Sawyer Hollenbach of Allenwood; one sister, Elizabeth “Liz” Reidell of Mifflinburg; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Dr. John and Patricia Reidell of Plattsburgh, New York, and Donald Reidell of Mifflinburg; sister-in-law, Constance Reidell of Mifflinburg; her stepmother, Josette Lucienne Dubois Reidell of Mifflinburg; half-sister Jeanette D. Bourgoin and her husband Olivier of France, stepbrother Patrick Forsburg and his wife Leslie of Enola, and stepsister Roxane Lyons and her husband Douglas of Millmont.
She was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law, Rhoda and Dr. Charles “Chuck” Fasano; one brother, Charles “Skeet” Reidell, Jr.; and a step-niece, Heather Lyons.
Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday November 16, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Curt Wingert, officiating.
Burial will be in the New Berlin Cemetery.
