Roxanne “Roxie” M. Styers, 73, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 12:55 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont. Where she was lovingly cared for and accepted by staff and residents during her 7 month stay.
She was born March 22, 1951, in Lock Haven, a daughter of the late Clifford Horace and Thema Violet (Geary) Walizer. On June 14, 1969, she married Thomas E. Styers, who survives.
Roxie was a 1969 graduate of Sugar Valley High School.
She was a skilled seamstress, cared for children in her home, and a loving homemaker.
Roxie was an active member of the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, Mifflinburg, for over 50 years.
Throughout her life, she poured herself into many lives in her community.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 55 years, are her children, Tracy, Heather, Kristy, and Wade; She was the youngest of 12 children, and is survived by 6 siblings, Gale, Linda, Bill, Susie, Jane, and Tom; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 25, and 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, July 26, at the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, 46 Brethren Church Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Eric Reamer, officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
