Roy Englehart

October 28, 1932 — September 28, 2016

MIFFLINBURG – Roy Thomas Englehart, 83, a lifelong resident of Pleasant Grove, and of 1535 Pleasant Grove Rd., for the past 64 years, entered into rest at 10:10 a.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.

He was born October 28, 1932, in Pleasant Grove, a son of the late George A. and Beatrice (Bingaman) Englehart.  On May 21, 1952, in Westminster, Maryland, he married the former Carmen M. Pontius, who survives.

Roy was a 1949 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

He was a lifelong member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

Roy was employed at East End Auto Sales, Mifflinburg, for 38 years, and earlier in life worked at Mifflinburg Motors.

He was a 50 year member of the Free & Accepted Masons Lodge #370, Mifflinburg, and a life member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsmen’s Club, Mifflinburg.

Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time in the mountains, and his dogs Nikki and Maggie.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 64 years, are three daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Clair Berge of Selinsgrove, Linda and Steve Buttorff of Millmont, and Sharon and Mike Wagner of Mifflinburg; one sister, Betty Eyler of Mifflinburg; one daughter-in-law, Aprile Englehart of Mifflinburg; one sister-in-law, Annabelle Englehart of Mifflinburg; 13 grandchildren and their spouses, Barbara and Troy Gaugler, Brian and Camille Berge, Joshua Smith, Stephen and Heather Buttorff, Bradley and Lisa Smith, Toshann and Dwight Stover, Kara Buttorff, Cameron and Leann Englehart, Nathan Kahle, Daniel Buttorff, Alyssa and Trevor Master, Chelsey Myers, and Austin Englehart; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by one son, Curtis V. Englehart; one brother, George Englehart, Jr.; and one sister, Shirley Hunselman.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, and 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Eric Reamer, officiating.

Burial will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.
