Ruby J. Anderson, 74, Millmont

Ruby June Anderson, 74, of 155 Laurel Park, entered into rest at 8:22 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born June 21, 1939, in Millmont, a daughter of the late Jackub Giles and Esther (Anderson) Damelio.

Ruby was employed at the Laurelton Center for over 20 years.

She was a member of the West End Fire Company, Millmont, Mooresburg Liberty Fire Company, and Lewisburg Senior Center.

Ruby enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching westerns, spending time with her family and friends, cooking and baking during the holidays, playing the piano, and collecting roses.

She enjoyed traveling to pow wows, fairs, Knoebel's Campground, and to New Jersey to visit her family.

Ruby was a loving person and helped care for her family and friends.

Surviving are one daughter, Tina R. Anderson of Millmont; four brothers, Terry Embleton of Washington, NJ, Rodger Damelio of Millmont, Kenneth Damelio of New Columbia, and Andy Damelio of Millmont; and one half-sister, Betty Jows of Mifflinburg.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenny and Jerry Anderson; and one sister, Debbie Swineford.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ruby will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 15, at the Lincoln Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurelton, with Rev. Mark Messner, officiating.

Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
