Ruth Wirth

Ruth E. Wirth, 79, formerly of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 6:58 a.m., Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

She was born January 30, 1940 in Mifflinburg, a daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Walter) Brosius. On October 26, 1956, in Mifflinburg, she married Herbert W. Wirth, Sr., who preceded her in death September 30, 2012.

Ruth enjoyed bowling, taking care of animals, and spending time outdoors.

Surviving are two sons and daughter-in-law, Glenn A. and Karen Wirth of Montgomery, and Robert W. Wirth and Amy Bubb of Mifflinburg; three daughters and one daughter-in-law, Wanda K. and Teresa Weiand of Mifflinburg, Donna J. Middleton of Milton, and Linda L. Lewis of Mifflinburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Steward and Judy Brosius of Mifflinburg; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Herbert Wirth, Jr.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Marlin and Pauline Brosius, and Robert Brosius; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marie and John Heeter, and Miriam McIntyre.

A graveside service will be held privately at the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
