Shawn Carl Bittner, 21, of 540 Gast Rd., entered into rest at 1:43 p.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2013, in West Buffalo Township, due to injuries sustained in an auto accident.
He was born April 17, 1992, in Lewisburg, a son of Mark E. Bittner of Mifflinburg and Janet E. Reed and Todd Baker of Mifflinburg.
Shawn was a 2010 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School.
He was employed as a diesel mechanic at Susquehanna Motors, West Milton.
Shawn served in the marine reserves.
He enjoyed watching football, playing video games and paintball, reading books, 4-wheeling, lifting weights, and working on cars, especially Volkswagons.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are one sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer L. and Daniel J. Colleluori of Ridley Park; grandfather, Terry C. Bittner of Mifflinburg; grandmother, Jeanne Woodley of Minnesota; niece, Khloe N. Colleluori of Ridley Park; and one aunt, Deb Raymond of Mifflinburg.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Gladys Reed.
Family and friends are welcome from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. with Pastor Amelia Shivers, officiating.
A graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made in memory of Shawn to the Headstrong Foundation, 232 Green Ave., Holmes, PA 19043.
