Shirley J. Pick, 78, Mifflinburg

Shirley June Pick, 78, of 108 Mifflin Place, since 1995, formerly of Market St., Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 2:15 p.m., Saturday, May 29, 2010, at her home.

She was born May 29, 1932, in Northumberland, a daughter of the late Asher and Catherine (Sanders) Snyder. On November 13, 1957, she married Bruce S. Pick. He preceded her in death May 7, 1993.

Shirley was employed at Yorktowne, Inc., Mifflinburg. Earlier in life, she was employed at Huntington Throwing Mills, Mifflinburg, Furman Foods, Northumberland, Iron Skillet, Shamokin Dam, and D & W Cafe', Glen Iron.

She enjoyed completing puzzles, and playing cards and dominoes. Shirley also enjoyed going to the farmers market with her family.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard A. and Maretta Pick of West Milton, and Daniel E. and Tammy Pick of Beavertown; two daughters and one son-in-law, Carole A. Ramsey of Mifflinburg, and Diana M. and Robert Forbes of Winfield; one sister, Jane Yeager of Sunbury; 21 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Stanley W. Pick; two daughters, Shirley M. Horner, and Crystal L. Snyder; six brothers, Harold, Leonard, Marlin, Lewis, Frank, and Robert; one sister, Charlotte Snyder; and one great grandson, Ryan Pick.

Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Pastor John E. Lee, officiating.

Burial will be in the Lincoln Chapel Cemetery.
