Tom was born in Youngstown, Ohio to James and Florence (Fink) Clegg. In 1966, he met his wife, Gloria, in Eagles Mere, where a year later they were married. His wife Gloria taught the gifted program in the Williamsport area for over 30 years.
Tom acquired a BS degree in Pre-Med from Friends University, Wichita, Kansas, in 1965, and a Masters in Biochemistry from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, in 1967.
Over the course of his life, Tom had many interests and careers. With his wife, he restored an 18th century building and operated a fine dining restaurant and bed and breakfast; the McCarty House Inn, Muncy. Currently he was employed as a Sales Representative by the Mifflinburg Farmers Exchange.
In addition to his work he had a deep affinity for historic preservation and for fourteen years was President of the Muncy Historical Society. Tom and Gloria lovingly restored many historic properties in the Muncy/Pennsdale area.
Tom was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, and “Pop-Pop”. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family. Tom was an amazing man that touched so many lives with his tender heart, helpful hand, uplifting spirit and never wavering faith in his Lord and Savior; Jesus Christ.
