Timothy W. Stroup, 47, New Berlin

Timothy Wayne Stroup, 47, of New Berlin, entered into rest at 10:38 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born February 15, 1966, in Lewisburg, a son of Samuel H. and Jean Stroup of Swengel and the late Ruth A. Stroup Fisher.

Tim attended the Christ Community Church of Glen Iron.

He was employed at Ritz-Craft, Mifflinburg, for many years. He also worked at Advanced Concrete Systems, Middleburg, and for Evergreen Lawn Care, Mifflinburg, with his cousin Jeremy Witmer.

Everyone who knew Tim, loved him. He was a kind, tender, and compassionate person who was always giving and felt the sorrows of others in his heart. Tim enjoyed nature, animals, astronomy, and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Surviving in addition to his father and step-mother, are his estranged wife, Cynthia Stroup of Mifflinburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Mary Ellen Stroup of Millmont; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Linda Pronkoski and her companion Mike Smith of New Berlin, Diane and Bill Miller of Danville, and Darla Grove and her companion Karen Morris of Millmont; one half-brother, Anthony and his wife Heather Stroup of Mifflinburg; two half-sisters, Karen and her husband Jody Davis of Millmont, and Theresa and her husband Jim Brobst of Millmont; one step-son, Jeffrey and his wife Kelly Stahl of Swengel; two step-daughters, Jody and her husband Josh Stetts of Williamsport, and Billie Kay Young of Mifflinburg; six step-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Raymond Fisher; and sister, Crystal Stroup.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, at the Christ Community Church of Glen Iron, 2746 State Route 235, Millmont, where a memorial service to celebrate the life of Tim will be conducted at 7 p.m., with Pastor Jason Hostettler and Rev. Brad Brought, officiating.

Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
