Virginia “Ginny” May Hartman, 73, of 405 Ward Way, Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 8:19 a.m., Monday, October 11, 2021, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born October 9, 1948, in Mifflinburg, a daughter of the late Glenn E. and Dorothy (Creasey) Hanselman. On September 16, 1972, she married Daniel F. Hartman, who survives.
Ginny was a 1966 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
She was employed at JPM Co., Lewisburg, Milton Shoe Factory, IGA, Mifflinburg, and SUM Child Development, Mifflinburg.
Ginny attended the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, Mifflinburg.
Earlier in life, she was a Sunday School teacher at Hillside Bible Church, Mifflinburg.
Ginny enjoyed sewing, cooking, planting flower gardens, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 49 years, are one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Jessie Hartman of Shamokin Dam; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Duane Keefer of Mifflinburg, and Stacy and Harold “Howie” Mast of Mifflinburg; 8 grandchildren, Braden Keefer of Mifflinburg, Jessica Kline and her husband Lance of Shippensburg, Isaiah Keefer, Keely Mast, Michael Mast, Zayden Keefer, Myles Mast, all of Mifflinburg, and Lilianna Hartman of Shamokin Dam; one great grandson, Stetson Blake of Lewisburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Glenn, Jr. and Alice Hanselman of Mifflinburg; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Myrna Walter of Mifflinburg, and Carol and Guy Erdley of Watsontown.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Kye Mast.
Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, at the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, 46 Brethren Church Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Eric Reamer, officiating.
Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, 46 Brethren Church Rd., Mifflinburg, PA 17844.
