Walter "Bud" E. Lewis, 75, Danville

Walter "Bud" E. Lewis, 75, formerly of 736 E. Front St., a resident of Riverwoods, Lewisburg, since March following an automobile accident, entered into eternal rest after being surrounded with kisses and comforting words from his entire family, at 8:18 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born March 29, 1936, in Danville, a son of the late Edward and Elvira (Dawson) Lewis.

Bud honorably served in the Air Force.

He was employed at Girton Manufacturing, Millville, until he retired in 2000. Bud continued working through 2010 at Giant Foods, Danville.

Bud was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Danville, Danville Elks Lodge 754, and Danville American Legion Post 40.

He was a true Phiadelphia Phillies and Penn State football fan. Bud could always be seen at Danville football games with his beloved brother, Charlie. When basketball season arrived, he was always attending Mifflinburg boys basketball games to support his only grandson, Dustin, and could often be heard bragging about his games for days after.

His greatest accomplishment in life was the unconditional love he had for his daughter, Kathy, and grandchildren, Kristy and Dustin. Bud's gift of strong family values and beautiful memories will be held with them forever. Bud wore his titles of "dad" and "pap" very proudly.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Rick Botts of Mifflinburg; one granddaughter, Kristy Botts and her fiance Jerry Starks of Mifflinburg; one grandson, Dustin Botts, of Mifflinburg; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Jan Lewis of Sunbury, Charlie and Helen Lewis of Danville, Harry and Carol Lewis of Danville, Jerry and Cathy Lewis of Middleburg, Richard and Beth Lewis of Danville, and Terry and Nancy Lewis of Winfield; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel and Bud Edwards of Sunbury, Mary and Dave Eichenlaub of Selinsgrove, and Vickie and Glenn Eberhart of Winfield; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenny Lewis.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Rev. Wayne S. Krell, officiating.

Burial will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riverwoods, E Wing, 3201 River Rd., Lewisburg, PA 17837, for all of their loving care.
