Wanda Leitzel

NEW BERLIN – Wanda Jean Leitzel, 51, formerly of New Berlin, passed away peacefully, at 8:58 a.m., Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Williamsport Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

She was born May 25, 1965, in Lewisburg, a daughter of Wilma (Snook) Leitzel of New Berlin, and the late Kenneth D. Leitzel.

She was a lifetime member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, New Berlin.

Wanda was a 1983 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

She was employed as a manager at the Lewisburg Antique Mall for many years.

Wanda enjoyed her trips to the Outer Banks, North Carolina, spending time with her family around the fire at the cabin, and especially time with her grandson, Connor.

Surviving in addition to her mother, are one daughter, Jessica Neidig of New Berlin and her friend Matt Zook; one grandson, Connor Neidig; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Timothy D. and Theresa Leitzel of Weikert, Scott W. and Jeanne Leitzel of Mifflinburg, Benjamin C. and Melinda Leitzel of Carlisle, and Thomas E. and Sarah Leitzel of Elizabethtown; one sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia A. and Robert Geiser of York; and several nieces and nephews who loved her.

Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, February 4th, at the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 326 Market St., New Berlin, where a memorial service to celebrate the life of Wanda will be conducted at 11, with Pastor James Cope, officiating.

Interment will be in the Dry Valley Cemetery, Jackson Township, Snyder County.
