Wanda M. Walter

Wanda M. Walter, 94, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 11:53 a.m., Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Wellspan Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born December 11, 1930 in Union County, a daughter of the late Clair and Beatrice (Foster) Manbeck. On April 6, 1957, she married Robert A. Walter, who preceded her in death June 3, 2012.

Wanda was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

She was employed at Philco, Watsontown, and at Laurelton State School for 29 years, until she retired in 1990.

Wanda was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Mifflinburg.

She enjoyed traveling, gardening, crocheting, crossword puzzles, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving is one son, Terry Walter of Middleburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Russ Yoder of Mifflinburg; one sister, Caroline Kissinger of Selinsgrove; one sister-in-law, Betty Manbeck of Texas; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, William Manbeck; one grandson; and one great grandson.

Funeral services will be private.

Burial will be in Mifflinburg Cemetery.
