Wayne P. Pierson, 51, Millmont
Wayne Porter Pierson, 51, of 878 Paddy Mountain Road for the past 3 years, formerly of Cochranville, entered into rest at 8:55 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2010, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Paddy Mountain Road.
He was born August 19, 1958, in Hockessin, Delaware, a son of Joseph Richard and Joan Frances (Porter) Pierson, of Cochranville. On September 16, 1985, in Oxford, he married the former Lisa M. Conley, who survives.
Wayne was a 1976 graduate of Octorara Area High School.
He was a member of the Faith Bible Chapel, Cochranville.
Wayne and his wife owned and operated the Best Bowl bowling lanes, Selinsgrove, for the past 3 years. Prior to moving to Millmont, he was self-employed in Custom Farming for 20 years.
He was a talented machinist, and also enjoyed bowling, animals, racing, and spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his parents and wife, are one son and daughter-in-law, Lucas M. and Alexis K. Pierson of Jacksonville, NC; two daughters and one son-in-law, Britian R. and Francisco Berrones of York, and Amanda S. Pierson of Colorado; one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph Douglass and Marsha Pierson of Chardon, OH; and three grandchildren, Francisco Berrones, III, Lance Berrones, and Daemon Pierson.
Family and friends are welcome from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, at the Faith Bible Chapel, 140 Bernard Ave., Cochranville, where a memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m., with Pastor Scott Althouse, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Wayne, to the Faith Bible Chapel, 140 Bernard Ave., Cochranville, PA 19330.
Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
