William “Bill” E. Buttorff, 84, formerly of Winfield, entered into rest at 11:05 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.
He was born September 26, 1939, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Charles H. and Betty J. (Griffas) Buttorff.
Bill was a 1957 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
He worked at American Home Foods, Milton, for 43 years.
Bill was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Milton Masonic Lodge.
He enjoyed fishing at Lake Chautauqua, New York, exercising, weight-lifting, and fast cars.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Marlin Brubaker, Jr. of Port Trevorton, and April and James Clarke of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one son and daughter-in-law, William C. and Lori Buttorff of Mifflinburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Stephen F. and Linda Buttorff of Millmont; 8 grandchildren and their spouses, Steven Brubaker, Michael (Thera) Brubaker, Marsha Brubaker, Joseph (Trina) Sheesley, Thai Buttorff, Candice Buttorff Stasheski, Charles “Austin” Clarke, and Thomas Clarke; and many great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sylvia Griffas.
Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 16, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 2, with Mike Palachick, officiating. A masonic service will be conducted by the Milton Free & Accepted Masonic Lodge #256.
Burial will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.
