William Fluke, Sr.
August 2, 1931 — September 21, 2016
MIFFLINBURG – William Allen Fluke, Sr., 85, formerly of 810 Borough Line Rd., entered into rest at 7:53 a.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.
He was born August 2, 1931, in Yellow Creek, a son of the late Chester and Mabel (Laudenslager) Fluke. On May 12, 1956, in Cumberland, Maryland, he married the former Patricia L. Kelly, who preceded him in death October 27, 2011.
William was a graduate of the R. P. Smith School, Bedford County.
He was a member of the Dreisbach United Church of Christ, Lewisburg.
William honorably served in the Army.
He was employed as a truck driver at ABF Trucking, Carlisle, for many years, and later worked at the Mifflinburg Bank & Trust Co.
William was a member of the West End Lion’s Club, Millmont, and the Mifflinburg V.F.W. Post 1964.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, William A., Jr. and Pauline M. Fluke of Mifflinburg, Gary F. and Susan M. Fluke of Laurelton, and Terry A. and Alison M. Fluke of Milton; one brother, Richard Fluke of Hopewell; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Chester Fluke.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 3 p.m., Saturday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 3, with Rev. Nathan Druckenmiller, officiating.
Military honors will be accorded by the Mifflinburg American Legion Post 410 and area veterans.
