Winston E. Boyer, 92, of 107 N. 8th St., Mifflinburg, since 1964, entered into rest at 4:35 p.m., Sunday, August 18, 2019, at Riverwoods, Lewisburg.
He was born January 24, 1927, a son of the late Frank Peter and Sara Ellen (Edmunds) Boyer. On January 24, 1964, in Mifflinburg, he married the former Carrie J. Gross, who preceded him in death December 7, 2006.
Winston was a 1944 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
He served in the Air Force from 1944 until his honorable discharge in 1948.
Winston was employed as a stationary engineer at Huntington Throwing Mills, Mifflinburg, from 1948 to 1968, and at Yorktowne, Mifflinburg, from 1968 until he retired in 1997.
He was a member of the Mifflinburg Hose Company from 1948-1959 and Mifflinburg American Legion Post 410.
Surviving are one son, Scott E. Boyer of Mifflinburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Anna Jo Boyer, of McAlisterville; one sister-in-law, Irene Boyer, of Camp Hill.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Allen A. Boyer; three brothers, David Boyer, John Boyer, and Spencer Boyer; and one sister, Jean Benson.
Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, and 10:30 to 11 a.m., Friday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Rev. John Yost, officiating.
Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
